This Davis and Sanford Tripod with spring loaded, floating Gitzo No. 3 head, is the sturdiest/lightest tripod I have ever had the pleasure to use. It is as sturdy as my big Gitzo pod, but about half the weight and extends farther. It will reach 8 feet without a problem. Minimum height 44" It is great for large digital cameras, including view cameras, as well as telescopes, both astro and spotting.
Looks may not be brand new, but everything works smoothly, as it should.
